Privacy policy

Ops Platform is an operations platform organisations use to run their sales, projects, team and finances. This policy explains what it keeps, why, and what it does with information from your Google account. Questions about it go to info@whitehouseinc.co.za.

What it keeps

  • Who you are: your name and email address, from the Google account you sign in with, so the app knows which member of the organisation you are. It never receives your Google password.
  • The work your organisation enters: clients, pursuits, meetings, projects, tasks, notes, time spent and financial figures.
  • Who changed what: each change is recorded with who made it, when, and any reason given, so the organisation's history can be trusted.

Google Drive

An administrator may connect the organisation's Google Drive so that documents can be added to tasks and pursuits. The app then asks Google only for access to files and folders it creates, or that someone chooses for it in Google's own file picker. It cannot see anything else in the Drive.

  • It creates folders for the organisation's clients and pursuits, and puts the files people add into them.
  • It shows those files' names and thumbnails in the app, and opens them in Google Drive.
  • It never deletes or empties anything in your Drive.
  • Files go straight from your browser to Google Drive. They are never copied to the app's own servers.
  • The key Google issues for the connection is kept encrypted, and used only on the app's server.

Ops Platform's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information from Google is used only to provide the features described here. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

Who else handles it

Only the services that run the app, each bound to keep it confidential: Supabase, which hosts the database in Singapore; Vercel, which serves the app; and Google, for sign-in and Drive. Nothing is shared with anyone else, unless the law requires it.

How it is kept safe

Everything travels encrypted. What each member may see and change is decided by their role, and enforced by the database itself, so the app cannot show someone more than their role allows even by mistake.

Cookies

Only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There is no advertising and no tracking.

Keeping and removing it

  • Your organisation's information is kept for as long as the organisation uses Ops Platform.
  • When someone is removed from the organisation, their sign-in is removed with them; their name stays on the work they did.
  • Access to Google Drive can be withdrawn at any time, from the app's settings or from your Google account's permissions.
  • To see what is held about you, or to have it deleted, write to info@whitehouseinc.co.za.
